Data Collection & Session Notes

Live today

ABA data collection that ends in a signed, billable session

A therapist recording session data on a tablet that becomes a progress graph

Therapists collect on a tablet or phone from the scheduled session. BCBAs graph every target against its mastery criterion. The signed note is what makes the session billable.

What is TargetFlo Data Collection?

TargetFlo Data Collection is ABA data collection software connected to everything around the session: the client's programming and Plan of Care decide which targets run, the schedule decides which session it is, and the signed session note sends it to billing. No paper data sheets, no re-entering trial counts, no claim without a note.

How a session flows

Five steps from tap to billable

The same flow on every device.

  1. 01

    Start

    From today's scheduled session

  2. 02

    Collect

Tap through targets, timers, and ABC

  3. 03

    Submit

    Summaries freeze, event completes

  4. 04

    Sign the note

    Session becomes billable

Capabilities

Built for RBTs at the table and BCBAs at review

All live today.

Start from the schedule

Today's sessions are on the therapist's screen. Tap one to start: the client's active targets load in program order, with the org's prompt hierarchy.

Every ABA measurement type

Discrete trials with prompt levels, frequency, duration bouts, latency, momentary or partial intervals with a beep at each boundary, task analysis with chaining, and ABC entries.

Clocks that survive real sessions

Timers come from timestamps, not tick counters, so they keep running through target switches, screen lock, and app switching.

Safe on a shaky connection

Every tap has its own ID and a send queue retries until the server has it — nothing is lost or double-counted. Undo is one tap.

Graphs against mastery

BCBAs see one point per session in the target's mastery measure, separate lines per phase, phase-change markers, and the mastery threshold line. Phase changes are a BCBA decision, never automatic.

Signed session notes

Summary, who was present, behaviors, progress, caregiver training, plan, and incidents. The renderer signs with an attestation; signed notes never change — corrections are signed addenda.

Late entry and takeover

Sessions up to five days old can still be entered (flagged as late). If a therapist switches devices, the session continues on the new one without losing data.

Billing gate

A session is billable only when its data is submitted and its note is signed. Notes are due 48 hours after the session; late signatures are flagged.

At the table

Live today

Big buttons, the right prompts, one tap per response

Each target shows its discriminative stimulus, the org's prompt hierarchy (FP, PP, M, G, V by default), and running totals. Switching targets keeps every clock running.

  • Targets load in program order; parent training puts caregiver goals first
  • Skip a target or add one mid-session
  • Undo the last tap without hunting through a list
  • End, resume the same day, then submit when the queue is empty

Measures

Every target type, with the measure BCBAs graph

Summaries are computed by the server and frozen at submit, so graphs never change after the fact.

Graphs a BCBA can make decisions from

Each submitted session adds a point in the target's mastery measure. Phases get their own lines and markers, and the mastery threshold is drawn on the chart.

  • Mastery evaluated over the last sessions in the current phase
  • Phase changes recorded with who, when, and why
  • Client → Sessions lists every session with targets, entries, and billing status
  • Read-only session view for supervisors and admins
