What is ABA Plan of Care software?
ABA Plan of Care software helps BCBAs author treatment plans with measurable goals, behavior intervention plans, caregiver training, and payer-aligned narratives on the client record. TargetFlo maps structure to the NC Medicaid CCP 8F checklist and supports Medicare documentation elements without guaranteeing approval. AI accelerates documentation; licensed clinicians review, edit, and sign every report.
Educational content only; not legal, clinical, or billing advice. Payer requirements change — confirm current policy with NC Medicaid, your MAC, or the payer before submission.
POC structure
Goals, BIP, caregiver training, and signatures
Treatment plan with skill-acquisition goal tables, behavior reduction and Behavior Intervention Plan sections, caregiver training goals, and a clinician-first signature chain. Structure maps to the NC Medicaid CCP 8F checklist and Medicare treatment plan expectations.
Skill acquisition goal tables
Baseline, mastery criteria, and target dates per goal — the structure payers expect to evaluate progress.
Behavior reduction & BIP
Target behaviors, function, replacement behavior, and intervention strategies linked from FBA summary fields.
Clinician-first, then parent sign
BCBA signs on the record (pocClinicianSignedAt); guardian e-signs in the portal (pocSignedAt). Both timestamps visible to staff.
Compose assist on narratives
Medical necessity and other narrative fields can use Gemini — proposals only, owned by the licensed clinician.
POC types include initial, revised, and reauthorization. An internal 114-item CCP 8F checklist shows what is still missing by section — it supports completeness, not guaranteed approval.

Compose assist
Live todayDraft narratives faster — clinicians still sign
Medical necessity and long-form POC sections can use the same Gemini compose modes as ADOS and assessment forms.
- Fill empty — Suggests content only for fields the clinician has left blank, using the form schema and client context. Existing text is never overwritten.
- Refine — Rewrites a selected field or section for clarity and completeness while preserving the clinician's meaning. Shown as a suggestion to accept or discard.
- Draft section — Drafts an entire section — for example behavioral observations — from context already in the record. The clinician edits before anything is saved.
HIPAA and Google Cloud
TargetFlo is built on a HIPAA-aware architecture designed for protected health information. Production deployments use Google Cloud Platform for document storage, processing, and infrastructure, with Google AI (Gemini) for assistive features under configurations intended to support healthcare privacy requirements. Organizations execute appropriate Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with Google Cloud where required. Access controls, audit logging, encryption in transit and at rest, and role-based permissions are core to the platform. AI features are assistive — clinicians review all clinical documentation before signature and submission.
Compliance posture depends on your deployment, BAAs, policies, and configuration. TargetFlo does not provide legal advice.
