Parent Plan of Care signature portal — review, attestation, and e-sign on a phone

Clinician signs first, then parent e-signs on a phone

After the BCBA signs, guardians receive a non-PHI SMS or email, read the full POC in the parent portal, attest, and e-sign. Staff see pocClinicianSignedAt and pocSignedAt on the client record.

What is the parent Plan of Care signature portal?

The parent Plan of Care signature portal lets guardians review and e-sign the ABA treatment plan after the clinician signs on the client record. TargetFlo sends a non-PHI SMS or email with a link to the parent portal, captures attestation and e-signature, and records pocSignedAt alongside pocClinicianSignedAt. AI accelerates documentation; licensed clinicians review, edit, and sign every report.

Signature flow

Clinician first. Then the family.

The same five-step flow used on clinical documentation — with HowTo schema anchors on each step below.

  1. Step 1 · Clinician

BCBA completes and signs the Plan of Care

The POC is finished on the client record. The clinician reviews every section and signs. TargetFlo records pocClinicianSignedAt.

  2. Step 2 · TargetFlo

    Guardian is notified

An SMS or email tells the parent a document is ready in the portal. The message contains no PHI — only a portal link.

  3. Step 3 · Guardian

Parent reviews the POC in the portal

The guardian signs in on a phone, reads the full Plan of Care, and can see who signed it and when.

  4. Step 4 · Guardian

    Attestation and e-signature

The parent confirms they have reviewed the plan, participated in planning, and consents to services, then signs. TargetFlo records pocSignedAt.

  5. Step 5 · Staff

    Intake advances; PDF is filed

Staff see both timestamps on the record. The signed PDF lands in the client's documents and the POC stage can complete, opening Pending Authorization.

Visibility

Staff see both signatures

Clinician signs first

The BCBA completes and signs the POC on the client record before any guardian notification is sent. pocClinicianSignedAt is recorded.

Non-PHI notification

SMS or email tells the parent a document is ready in the portal — no diagnosis or treatment details in the message, only a portal link.

Phone-first review

Guardians read the full Plan of Care, attestation, and e-signature flow on a mobile browser in the TargetFlo Parent Portal.

The signed POC PDF attaches to the client record and supports the Plan of Care and authorization stages. Scheduling, session notes, and claims run on the same client record.

HIPAA and Google Cloud

TargetFlo is built on a HIPAA-aware architecture designed for protected health information. Production deployments use Google Cloud Platform for document storage, processing, and infrastructure, with Google AI (Gemini) for assistive features under configurations intended to support healthcare privacy requirements. Organizations execute appropriate Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with Google Cloud where required. Access controls, audit logging, encryption in transit and at rest, and role-based permissions are core to the platform. AI features are assistive — clinicians review all clinical documentation before signature and submission.

Compliance posture depends on your deployment, BAAs, policies, and configuration. TargetFlo does not provide legal advice.
